DEMISE Demise is a micro encapsulated formulation of fenitrothion, the proven and effective insecticide for public health pest control. Specifically developed for cockroach control, Demise applies the advanced technology of micro encapsulation to provide high insecticidal activity with a more user-friendly formulation. Sorex includes this advanced formulation within its range to encourage good rotational pest management practices. Selection pressures on the target insect are aggravated when one class of insecticide is used over a prolonged period. Demise, containing an organophosphate, has a mode of action distinct from the other Sorex residual cockroach treatments, Fendona 6SC and Tenopa. Demise is suitable for use even in sensitive areas such as hospitals, hotels, restaurants and food processing plants. In field tests, Demise has been shown to provide more than three months control of German cockroaches. The encapsulated formula is almost odourless. The active ingredient is confined within a vapour proof capsule and, unlike an emulsifiable concentrate, the formulation contains no solvents. . |
