BOOKLICE

Common pests of food premises, booklice (Liposcelis terricolis) are soft-bodied insects about 1mm long and light brown in colour. They can contaminate raw or processed food and although harmless to man, they can disseminate organisms which cause spoilage. Humidity, mould and food residues are of particular attraction to booklice.
